Vs. The Big O! - Comic-Con 2012

That's a helluva O right there
If you were expecting a post involving scantily clad nymphs to satiate your personal pay load, sorry to disappoint. On the other hand, if you're here right now looking forward to early details and preview for an upcoming film of orgasmic proportions, you came to the right site. The world of Oz and its inhabitants have been granted with the prequel treatment revealing the origin of the Wizard himself. Here's the film's official synopsis:

"Oz The Great and Powerful" imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum's beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs, a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda, who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Franco: I got me here some freaking hot witches and you're telling me no foursome is in store for me? How bout a threesome? Good ol twosome? Damn, you have got to be shitting me.
Team Raimi have been developing this movie for God knows how long. So not only are viewers expecting a visual treat, but with Sam helming the project, fans are anticipating nothing short of awesome. I'm hoping the long wait for this movie isn't any indication of a snorefest overladen with CGI (yeah, I'm talking about you Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland) despite the producers of aforementioned movie being attached to this. James Franco once again teams up with his Spider-man director and with him front and center, hopefully he gets a bigger chance of displaying his acting chops as Harry Osborne did a piss poor job of doing that. Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz (my heart just skipped a beat), and Michelle Williams (resembling Cate Blanchett's Galadriel) play the three witches. You can view the trailer below. CGI usage is somewhat rampant in many a scene but the sneak peek elicited a sense of greatness... and power... within me (if you didn't get the joke, good for you, it was a lame attempt). The return to Oz happens on March 8, 2013.
