After a long wait, the long-running survival horror series is giving the big screen another go with Silent Hill: Revelation... also in.... wait for it.... *groans* 3D! I wasn't a big fan of the first film adaptation. Plot-wise the execution could have been a lot better, but props to the director in successfully handling the visual aspects of the movie. The design for the nurses were straight out of the game, Pyramid Head was spot on, and the transition from fog-filled town to rotting hell was done well. The characters on the other hand were not very engaging, so I'm hoping they can pull it off this time around. With the film featuring both
Here's a synopsis: Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.
