Vs. Ned Stark and Jon Snow Take a Stroll Into Silent Hill...

Believe the Bean
Damn right Sean Bean! Mordor is a cake walk compared to Silent Hill. The memory still haunts me till this day. I was playing my 'ol PlayStation struggling to withhold the girly screams that were slowly attempting to escape my lips every time that creepy spectral baby appeared in that freaky school. Moments later, the game decides to flip the switch by plunging Harry Mason into industrial hell as the true nature of the town is revealed. At that moment, (adding the insane soundtrack of grinding metal with the churning of ancient machinery in a torturous loop just made it the experience more frightening) my pants were officially soiled. Ahh... Silent Hill, we had some good times... good times.

After a long wait, the long-running survival horror series is giving the big screen another go with Silent Hill: Revelation... also in.... wait for it.... *groans* 3D! I wasn't a big fan of the first film adaptation. Plot-wise the execution could have been a lot better, but props to the director in successfully handling the visual aspects of the movie. The design for the nurses were straight out of the game, Pyramid Head was spot on, and the transition from fog-filled town to rotting hell was done well. The characters on the other hand were not very engaging, so I'm hoping they can pull it off this time around. With the film featuring both Ned Stark  Boromir Sean Bean and Jon Snow Kit Harrington, the second installment stands a better chance. Hopefully, Sean Bean's character doesn't die... well, chances are high considering his record.

Here's a synopsis: Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

Silent Hill scares audiences shitless on October 26,2012. Hit the trailer below!
