The GODDAMN Batman is back... in a fucking tank! |
Apart from Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, The Dark Knight Returns stands not only as one of Batman's best storyline, but also as a milestone in the graphic novel genre.
At a time when DC was striving on every account to breathe new life into the character, comic sales for the cape crusader were declining. In 1986, Frank Miller penned a story of a 55-year old Batman coming out of retirement to put the beat down on Gotham criminals once more. The story not only reinvigorated a character that was losing comic readers' interest, but set a standard for the Batman story that followed in both the comic and film industry.

The voice cast is lead by Peter Weller (Robocop baby!) as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Accompanying him is the adorable Ariel Winters (yes, the geek side of me is completely smitten by her wit and charm) of Modern Family as Robin/Carrie and
Gotta love the blink or you'll miss it fuck up at the 1:22 mark. Props to the moron who edited this. Shame on you.
